Alabama Snow!!

A near record breaking snowfall was recorded in the deep south last evening! There were snowball fights, snow angels and an attempted snowman... but somehow the children just couldn't make that snow hold together well enough to accomplish a snowman of any means. Hmmm... we'll have to work on that.

First in Alabama, snow must have a little help in falling down. Here are our helpers from yesterday shaking the beautiful blooming pear tree just enough to cause a perfect soft snowfall.
Then, of course, Miss Poppins couldn't resist making snow angels!
And, what a beautiful snow angel it was too!
I think there is more snow in the forecast for tonight... that is if we can coax a few children up into our pear tree. Somehow I don't think that will be too difficult. And, what goes better on a snowy evening than a tall glass of ice tea and bare feet? Nothing... nothing at all! Ahhh, now that's my kind of snow!

The only problem with that type of snow is that it doesn't melt when it gets in your shirt- it itches. But the snowballs never hurt!
