Prayers for Susannah Joy Maxwell

Please pray for a sweet little baby girl who was born yesterday, March 21st at 4:10am. She is the daughter of Nathan and Melanie Maxwell. Some of you probably know Nathan's parents - Steve and Teri Maxwell. The elder Maxwells wrote the books Managers of Their Homes and Managers of Their Chores... two books which I know and love dearly! I have come to love and respect the Maxwells over the years and I've been following the progress of the impending birth of their first grandchild for some time.

Nathan and Melanie received news that their baby had some problems around Christmas time. Melanie has struggled with premature labor for the last month as the baby's complications were causing her to go into labor. She has thankfully been able to carry the baby for a few critical extra weeks but now that the baby has been born there are some serious problems which are life threatening. Here is the latest update from their website:

"Susannah Joy made it past the twenty four hour mark. She is still in very critical condition and unresponsive. She needs for her blood pressure to stabilize. There are other concerns the doctors have, but if the blood pressure isn’t where it needs to be, the other issues don’t matter. We are grateful for all the prayer support and encouragement. We serve a God Who works miracles for those who trust Him. We are seeking to fully trust and look to Him.

Please pray for baby Susannah Joy. Please pray for her weary and frightened parents, Melanie and Nathan Maxwell. And, please pray for Susannah's grandparents, Steve and Teri Maxwell who must be struggling as they watch their children face this difficult trial as well as their own grief over the condition of their dear first grandchild. I know this family would covet your prayers!

"The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee." Psalm 9:9-10
