These are the ramblings of an eclectic and whimsical homeschooling family of eight... a little peek, if you will, inside the daily dawdlings and habits of my active and delightful family seeking to please the Lord in all we do! Hopefully our thoughts, observations, and activities will challenge you, inspire you, tickle you, cheer you, and let you know you are not the only one!

Look what Cindy Lou found this morning in her 'caterpillar village'! Her tent caterpillar has made himself a cocoon! We are so proud... first that the poor tent caterpillar actually lived long enough (with all the "love" that the children give them everyday... some of his compatriots have not been so fortunate!) to build a cocoon and... secondly, that we get to see him turn into a beautiful colorful... OK, a dull brownish colored moth. Cindy Lou is expecting something as beautiful as a monarch butterfly. I hope she won't be too disappointed!

On another parenting note, Walter and Rose are empty nesters! There babies have spread their wings and are off to start families of their own. It's a bittersweet day around here. It's always wonderful to see babies grow up but it would have been nice if their childhood could have lasted a little longer than two weeks! I'm so glad my sweet babies don't grow up that fast!!
